Step 4 of 10 - Magic of Your Mind Program
What is vision?
Vision is the ability to close one’s eyes and imagine the future you want. These visions can come when one is meditating, relaxing, or exercising. You have to expect to receive "visions" or they will remain elusive.
You need a quiet and open mind to visualize who, what, and where you WANT TO BE in 3 to 5 years. Having vision is the ability to see beyond the current state of affairs in your life. It is what you aspire to be or do in the future, not what you are today.
“You will attract to yourself the things you project from yourself so there is no advantage of visualizing anything other than your aspirations.
You may have heard, “You become what you think about.” This is not quite so. You don’t become what you think about; your life will become what you FOCUS on.
Why is it important to have vision?
Without a vision, there is no direction or idea of what you should be doing. When you have a focus in your life, you will create a vision for your life. In the beginning, your vision may be unclear, but by repeating the process, you will begin to construct your vision. Once you begin to visualize what you want, you will become inspired and motivated to keep working on the process.
How do you create a personal vision?
First, turn off your devices, close your eyes, and allow yourself to be mindless. Distraction is the enemy to vision.
Visualize for yourself and for your family. When you consistently focus on the vision of what you want your life to be. Your subconscious mind will accept this new vision and begin working with your conscious brain to work toward that vision.
Understand you can’t visualize something in your future, that you don’t have the ability to achieve. Yes, your life will become what you focus on the most.
You are where you are and what you are because of the thoughts you focused on in the past. Only focus on the positive and stamp out any negative visions as fast as you can.
Next, identify your immediate short-term needs. Ask yourself, “What do I need to prove?” “Who do you want to win for?”
By focusing on your immediate needs, you will begin to get things done and with these short-term successes, you will discover your purpose! Mazlow’s Hierarchy of Needs identifies your lifetime journey. It all starts with the VISION that is lives within you that is waiting to be fulfilled.
