Nothing Affects Your State of Mind More than Daily Gratitude

Gratitude is the most powerful gift from the universe and is triggered by being grateful now - at this very moment. Stop and write down on a piece of paper the three things you are grateful for NOW - RIGHT NOW? 




 

If you completed the above exercise and listed the three things you are grateful for now, you should feel better because Dopamine is being released into your system. It’s magical and it’s free! 

 

This is a bit tricky to understand, but by being able to ascertain what you are grateful for, you have surreptitiously identified what you want more of.  

 

FOR EXAMPLE: 

    1. If you are grateful for having good health, this means you want more good health
    2. If you are grateful for having a loving family, this means you want to have an even closer, more loving family
    3. If you are grateful for having money in the bank, this is a sign you want to have more money in the bank
    4. If you are grateful for having the opportunity to serve, this means you wanted to continue serving others
    5. If you are grateful for having a job, this is an indicator you desire the security of a steady income

 

There is an unlimited number of things we can be grateful for. We have different desires, dreams, and wants. Knowing what you “want” is the first step in goal setting. Unfortunately, most people don’t know what they want. This is the reason why you should start with the things you are grateful for right now!


Giving gratitude has the most impact on your attitude and the result is immediate. Being grateful throughout your day blasts negativity out of your mind allowing you to achieve more. In time, small victories allow you to win more often. And each win begets more winning, resulting in you acquiring a winning attitude. Your mental muscle becomes stronger, and a new habit of thinking takes place. In a matter of months, you have a more positive attitude. Attitude is Everything! 


If you ignored answering the above question regarding the three things you are grateful for NOW, wake up because this is the beginning of determining what it is you want.

Here’s the bottom line, you’re a creature of habit!  You can train your brain with a few new easy to do tiny habits to become the person you are capable of becoming. By being grateful, you not only receive the immediate benefit of positivity, but you also open your mind to the discovery of what you want most for your life.
