Our Industry Needs Leadership

The way you make money is under threat! Millions of people consider realtors to be scammers. We are a part of an industry where our ethics are perceived as slightly above used car salespeople or shyster lawyers.

We have a problem. In 2021, NAR increased its membership by over 100,000 new realtors.

Why is that a problem? History has shown, and NAR stats prove, that 90,000 of these newbies will be out of our business within two to five years. They are forced out because of economic necessity; they just won't make enough money. The average income for new NAR members is only $9,000 after two years of work. And after five years, they only earn $34,000 on average.

It gets worse. While these well-meaning rookies are a part of our industry, thousands of mistakes are made due to their inexperience and lack of proper training. The problems caused, while unintentional, nevertheless add to the bad reputation of real estate salespeople. We are all painted with this bad brush!

HPA Academy has a partial solution. I know this problem isn’t because of you, but it affects you, and I’m asking for your help in protecting our industry from a further decline in professionalism.

As my gift to you, please download our latest ebook, Good to Great in 6 Steps. This ebook is the ultimate guide for sales leaders who want to develop a team of professionals earning six-figure incomes.

Here are some highlights from Good To Great in 6 Steps:

1. Having salespeople succeed isn't about good, purposeful intentions; it's about triggering their need to achieve. Needs motivate!

2. Don't "hire"; instead, "select" individuals who can sell. Do this by using statistics and personality profiling.

3. What did Comcast learn that you should know about? The value of a High Payoff Activities hour. An HPA hour is one hundred times more profitable.

4. If your salespeople don't see a big incentive, they won't do the hard work required. It takes a lot of grit to make it selling real estate, so show them the potential results from all their hard work. If they aren’t able to think big about themselves, they’ll never make it, and you should replace them.

5. Stop wasting your time and focus on the few who are qualified. Guide them on what to do to make money.

6. Help them get out of debt and pursue Financial Freedom.

7. GREAT sales leadership doubles sales and profitability.

8. Your most significant ROI is from holding their feet to the fire.

9. Sales agents are begging for better training, and many feel abandoned and are resentful. Yes, we’ve done the surveys.

Thank you for helping to improve our industry.
